Writing’s not that easy, but Grammarly can help (can’t it?)
“Writings not that easy, but Grammarly can help. This sentence is grammatically correct but its wordy and hard to read, it undermines the writer’s message and the word choice is bland. Grammarly’s cutting edge technology helps you craft compelling understandable that makes an impact on your reader. Much better.”
The one thing that they got correct is that writing is not that easy. From creativity to vocabulary to engagement, it isn’t a piece of cake. But, can a vocabulary and grammar enhancer help in writing? Not exactly.
One of the biggest hurdles in any writer’s life is that of the writer’s block. The moment where you lose any idea of what you should write, or have just found a dead end with your piece.
Writing takes an insane amount of thinking, imagination and knowledge which can be not so easy to succumb into. Many writer’s get prompts to get rid of this block, using various websites to give them creative tipping points.
Becoming a better writer is all about engaging with your target audience (suspiciously similar to marketing). Once you find out who those readers are going to be, it is time that you enhance your creativity with exquisite knowledge about the topic of your choice.
Whether you are writing about vampires or an autobiography, a writer’s research is what makes their writing (not the plagiarism). Originality is key in everything one writes, and is exactly why writing may seem simple, yet writing well, takes a lot of hard work.
Understanding when and where to use humor is something that often is found amiss in many a pieces of writing, and on the other side of the spectrum, the extreme lack of logic and seriousness could be an issue as well.
In short, writing is not that easy; but Grammarly can help (by making you sound like a lot like a legitimate literary perfectionist)
